Don’t Say This to a Divorce Judge

Divorce Magazine has compiled a Top Ten List of things you do not want to say to your divorce judge, including my favorite at #5. “No court is going to tell me what to do.” I actually had a client say that. And not surprisingly, the judge ruled against him.

  1. Paula Says:

Interesting articles. Thanks for the info. My husband and I are going through a divorce and living together mainly for financial reasons,e.g. son’s tuition.

Also, my husband is in a private law practice and has had a hard year. I work for the government and hate to see him lose my medical benefits because he has health problems. Therefore, we don’t want to be together anymore but being in our mid fifties, it seems logical not to push things until we can work it all out so he is not hurt to badly by the split.
